Dan has lived in Harwinton for over 28 years and is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, including during the Vietnam War. He has played an instrumental role in a variety of industries as a computer engineer. In his roles as an embedded systems engineer, he has enabled the aerospace and medical research industries to take tremendous strides in creating a better future. He has been a member of the Zoning Commission for 14 years and is currently the Chairman.

Scott is seeking re-election to Region 10 BOE and currently serves as Chairman. A retired Financial Industry executive who holds an MBA in Finance and a Juris Doctorate from UCONN. He is a 20 year resident of Harwinton along with his wife Sandra and daughter Olivia. While he serves on multiple Boards, he stated that the most valuable and fulfilling is the BOE. With his daughter attending HarBur Middle School, both her and her friends directly benefit from the Board’s hard work in providing the best education in the area. Fiscally responsible, high quality education that prepares our children to be successful in whatever path they choose when they leave us. Preparing our children for college, trade school, small business or the military is our focus. We realize that we are only one chapter in their lives, we strive to be the foundation for their future success. In the past year the Board approved 5 courses at LSM that gives student’s actual UCONN college credits. We have done a lot of good work and have still more to do. That is our commitment.

Since 2013, Tamara Barry has run a Christmas tree farm in Harwinton with her husband, Bob. With a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University, her career has included long stints in journalism, non-profit fundraising, and ranching. As a current Zoning Board Alternate she strives for fair, reasonable, and transparent application of the regulations.

Vicky moved to Harwinton in 1997 so that her 2 children could attend the Region 10 school system and she is proud that they are both very successful products of that education. Vicky is a CPA and Project Management Professional (PMP) who has held many leadership roles throughout her diverse career.  She will bring a strong conservative voice to the BOE to ensure we provide quality education at an affordable price, protect the rights of parents and the innocence of youth.
