John is currently on the Board of Finance. John ran his own excavating company for 30 years. John has also served the town of Harwinton in a variety of ways. He was our town’s Highway Supervisor for 16 years. John is also a 52 year veteran member of the Harwinton Volunteer Fire Department and was Chief for 20 years of that time. Running his own company and managing budgets for public works and the volunteer fire department has taught him the value of a dollar, how to manage money and investments as well as how to work with people.

In his spare time John enjoys spending time with his wife of 48 years Cynthia, as well as his two daughters who also live in town. He also enjoys restoring antique farm tractors (mostly John Deere). He also likes to fix farm machinery for local farmers.
